Feed controls
Feed controls are used to control traverse rates. They can control the parallel feed in both directions or be used as a compensating element for moving loads. As a security element, they prevent the sudden retraction of devices.
These hydraulic speed controller provide fixed speed movement regardless of mass and thrust force.
Operation of a hydraulic speed controller
The speed control is done by letting a fluid (oil or silicone) pass through an orifice. The passage of this fluid, pressurized by the application, leads to friction, therefore heating, which induces a slowing down which causes the speed control.
Applications
A hydraulic dampers allows you to :
- Control the closing of a cover (lift inspection hatch...)
- Control the closing of a cover (dustbin, machine...)
- Control the cutting speed of a saw
Advantages
- Constant speed rates
- Standard version, ex stock
- Bi-directional damping
- Easy to mount
