ACE - Profile Dampers
ACE TUBUS profile dampers are high-performance damping elements. This series is also a perfect alternative when the braking point of the masses does not have to be precise. Indeed, profiled absorbers are used to brake masses in extreme conditions or when space is limited. These shock absorbers are made of a copolyester elastomer, a material that heats only slightly and provides uniform damping and are all suitable for emergency stop applications and continuous use.
Advantages of using TUBUS profile absorbers
- Very good price/performance ratio
- Long service life
- Extremely resistant material
- Seawater resistant
- Maintenance-free and ready for installation
These shock absorbers can be quickly and easily fixed with the special screw provided.
These compact and cost-effective components are ideal as limit switches on linear axes, in tool and machine tool making, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment, handling equipment and other applications.
The different models of TUBUS profile dampers
TUBUS TA
Compact size for high force absorption
Axial damping
Capacity 2 Nm/Cycle at 2,951 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 5 mm to 48 mm
Diameter 12 mm to 116 mm
Energy absorption: 58% to 73%
The TA shock absorbers of the ACE TUBUS series are true energy eaters. Indeed, they absorb a large amount of energy at the beginning of the race.
This series has been specially designed for maximum energy absorption in the range of 2 Nm to 2,951 Nm and can be used at extreme temperatures from -40°C to 90°C.
TUBUS TS
Compact size for flexible deceleration
Flexible axial damping
Capacity 2 Nm/Cycle at 966 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 7 mm to 56 mm
Diameter 14 mm to 107 mm
Energy absorption: 35% to 64%
TS shock absorbers absorb energy smoothly with minimal stress on the machine. Uniform damping is facilitated by a slight increase in the temperature of the material during operation. This series has been specially designed for maximum energy absorption in a range from 2 Nm to 966 Nm over a minimum height and can be used at extreme temperatures from -40°C to 90°C.
Applications
Linear carriages, pneumatic cylinders, handling modules, machines and installations, rotating units, electromechanical drives, hydraulic devices, conveying installations, crane applications.
TUBUS TR
Compact size for smooth deceleration
Radial damping
Capacity 1.2 Nm/Cycle at 146 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 17 mm to 60 mm
Diameter 29 mm to 100 mm
Energy absorption 25% to 45%
TR shock absorbers provide long and smooth braking. Indeed, the radial load makes it possible to achieve a very long and smooth deceleration with a progressive reduction of energy at the end of the stroke. This series has been specially designed for a minimum stroke over a minimum height, thus producing an energy absorption per stroke ranging from 1.2 Nm to 146 Nm and can be used at extreme temperatures from -40°C to 90°C.
TUBUS TR-H
Compact design with smooth deceleration and high energy absorption
Radial damping, hard version
Capacity 2.7 Nm/Cycle at 427 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 15 mm to 56 mm
Diameter 30 mm to 102 mm
Energy absorption 39% to 62%
Just like TR shock absorbers, TR-H shock absorbers provide a very long and smooth deceleration. Made of a harder copolyester elastomer blend, the energy absorption is higher, from 2.7 Nm to 427 Nm and these shock absorbers can be used at extreme temperatures from -40°C to 90°C.
Applications
Furniture industry, sports equipment, linear trolleys, pneumatic cylinders, handling modules, machines and installations, stacking installations, electromechanical drives, conveying installations, docks in shipbuilding
TUBUS TR-L
A race beast in a long tube length
Radial damping, long version
Capacity 7.2 Nm/Cycle at 10,780 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 17 mm to 108 mm
Diameter 29 mm to 188 mm
Energy absorption 26% to 41%
TR-L shock absorbers have been designed for applications requiring long and smooth deceleration and offer a progressive reduction of energy at the end of the stroke. They are also used when protection against impacts and collisions is required on a straight line. This series has been specially developed for a minimum stroke and range of 7.2 Nm to 10 780 Nm and can be used at temperatures between -40°C and 90°C.
TUBUS TR-HD
A compact race animal in solid material
Radial damping, heavy-duty version
Capacity 405 Nm/Cycle at 11,840 Nm/Cycle
Maximum stroke 12 mm to 44 mm
Diameter 42 mm to 117 mm
Energy absorption: 43% to 72%
TR-HD shock absorbers offer greater strength and energy absorption than the basic TR model, with a shorter damping distance due to their massive construction.
This series absorbs a large amount of energy despite the low height, a range from 405 Nm to 11,840 Nm, and can be used at extreme temperatures between -40°C and 90°C.
Applications
Offshore industry, agricultural machinery, bumper plate, conveying installations, stacking installations, shipbuilding, excavators or hinges for construction machinery, transport roads, loading devices and lifting instruments
